Jorben Mus

Jorben Mus completed his undergraduate studies at KU Leuven Ghent. He then chose KU Leuven Bruges to pursue a Master of Electromechanical Engineering Technology, specialising in Aviation Engineering. His Master's thesis focused on modelling PEM fuel cells for implementation in UAVs. In July 2020, he graduated and started working in September 2020 as a researcher for the Applied Mechanics and Energy Conversion group at KU Leuven Bruges, led by Prof. Frank Buysschaert. The main goals were helping companies implement hydrogen and fuel cells, dimensioning PEM fuel cell test infrastructure and developing and teaching a course on energy systems for the Master's engineering students. Two conference papers followed this research, and one won the best paper award. They were both presented at the ICRERA 2022 conference in Istanbul (Turkey) in September 2022. He also started his PhD in September 2022, focused on modelling and characterisation of electrochemical energy systems for hybridisation. He works with main supervisor Prof. Frank Buysschaert and co-supervisors Prof. Veerle Vandeginste and Prof. Maarten Vanierschot.
