Weidong Xie

Weidong Xie is a China fellow who did his bachelor's and master's studies in mineral resource prospecting and exploration at China University of Mining and Technology and China University of Geosciences. He concentrates on shale gas generation, accumulation, adjustment and loss processes, and the competitive adsorption behavior and mechanism of CH4 and CO2 in shale gas reservoir to complete the ambition of enhancing CH4 recovery and CO2 geological storage. He received several institutional and international awards, e.g. ERESD Best poster prize (2022), Excellent Student or Student Leader in CUMT or CUG (2013-2014 and 2018-2022), Excellent B.E. and M.S. thesis (2017 and 2020), National Scholarship (2018, 2019 and 2022), Outstanding Postgraduate Award of 9th Deyi Coal Geology Education Fund, First Prize of GPARC (Xuzhou Geological Society), and Excellent Doctoral Innovation Fund of CUG.
